Cheek Augmentation
A cheek augmentation procedure is
performed to enhance certain facial features, bring a certain aspect of
the face into proportion with the rest of the face, and contour the facial
framework to achieve greater beauty. During cheek augmentation, your surgeon
will place a small incision inside the lower eyelid or in the upper mouth
near the top of the gum line, and insert the implant secured to the cheekbone.
The incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures. The surgery is done
with a local anesthesia and mild sedation or twilight anesthesia. The
result of this procedure are more prominent cheekbones which are a sign
of beauty in men and women.
